I almost never give 5 star reviews - only to those albums that defy easy categorization and convention, while managing to create something new, beautiful and cohesive. This album is it. A masterwork. Just buy it, listen to it a few times, and let it do its thing.

There is NOTHING explicit or offensive on this album. Nothing that English-speakers could understand, for sure. Utter nonsense.

This album is definitely timeless. Jorge has one of the most unique and refreshing voices of any kind. The passion behind the foreign words are felt even without comprehending the meanings. This is a definite buy for anyone in tune with samba or soul music.

"Os alquimistas estao chegando" has funny lyrics about alchemists? Why do you think this album is rated as explicit? Certainly, it is not because the lyrics are funny. Great album though.

Great CD, with my two favorite Jorge Ben songs, "Zumbi" an "Os Alquimistas" Its worth it just for those two songs. I will warn that it takes a little to get use to the sound but if you stick with it, you'll be rewarded with a whole world of beautiful music.
